Our Peru projects have a minimum stay of 2 weeks.

Location of our projects

Orphanage and teaching placements are based in and around the beautiful 'white city' of Arequipa.

Our jungle research and conservation centre is located on the Madre de Dios River in the Amazon jungle, a days travel from Cusco.

What else is there?

There are many adventure activities and travel opportunities within easy reach, such as the Colca Canyon, Machu Picchu, a tour of the Sacred Valley and white water rafting.

Our local staff will also advise and provide contacts for further activities such as trekking, cultural tours, visits to tropical rainforest reserves and exploration of other Inca ruins.

Read what some of our volunteers say...

"I had a fantastic time in the Amazon even though I was only there for two weeks. It was amazing just to be among so much wildlife and so far from any cities. We had the opportunity to take part in lots of the different projects run, I especially enjoyed going to the clay lick at dawn to monitor the parrots and macaws, and visiting Salvacion to build a couple of bio-gardens."
